Obviously the quality of learning is degraded through online learning, there have been multiple studies showing this. However, I feel it would be unfair to implement a university wide pass/fail policy. I think the university should provide a pass/fail option similar to the one given for the 2020 spring and summer semesters. Students should be able to make a class as pass/fail if wanted through the end of the semester. However, some students want the option to keep their classes as letter grades and by implementing a university-wide pass/fail policy you are taking that option away from them. By providing the option to make a class, or classes, pass/fail through the end of the semester than those who wish to have pass/fail get what they want and those who wish to receive letter grades get what they want.
